Squeeeeeeeeee!

So the cat is officially out of the bag, and I can now finally spill the news that I’ve been sitting on for what seems like forever. The most exciting thing that has ever happened to me (sorry, kids – it’s nothing personal, but this is serious stuff!) – I am a contestant in The Great British Sewing Bee 2016!

Tune in to BBC2 on Mondays at 9 pm (starting 16 May) to watch the highs, lows and general hilarity of the sewing room. It should be a lot of fun!

  1. I am ready to say the winner of the GBSB visited me at home! No pressure but they would be mad to choose anyone else! Can’t wait.

  2. I sat down to watch the first episode with my mom and said “That woman looks a lot like a blogger I used to follow… I think her name was Charlotte, pay attention when she comes up…”

Congrats!! It was strange and exciting to see you on there, and obviously we’re cheering for you. Maybe you can all gang up on Claudia and trim her bangs.

I have found your blog after frantic googling after watching the GBSB. Your sewn garments are lovely buto I need that green cardigan. NEED. What’s the pattern? (And I’m on the 2nd stripe section of the Avant l’orage after seeing yours last week.) I promise I’m not a crazy stalker. Are you on Ravelry? Are there any more patterns I’m going to be drooling over in the next few weeks? Really, knitters on TV should wear labels identifying the pattern, yarn, and colorway of any knits. (Only joking…mostly.)

Is there any chance of the pattern for the green & orange cardigan.
I absolutely love them and have looked high at patterns forever

      PLEASE PLEASE !

I second the request for cardigan knitting pattern as now I see you have an orange one too. Or did you do that annoying thing and just “make it up”

I definitely didn’t make it up – that is so far beyond my skill level! I’m theweepixie on Ravelry πŸ™‚

So proud of you! Did you know you have a fan all the way in Arizona USA? I love your energy, your imagination and your skills. And I love the new tattoo. So fitting. Congratulations!!!

  10. Wahoo!! Congratulations on winning lovely lady!! Been watching on iPlayer as I have the memory of a goldfish some days! (blame it on the toddler!). Have been asked by my friend if I’ll teach her to drive a sewing machine so need to get some practice in before then!
